Manila, Philippines – To ensure the safety of the community and organizational stakeholders, Sysgen RPO, Inc., an offshore recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) provider in the Philippines, recently announced its optional work-from-home scheme for its employees. In line with the recent developments, Sysgen RPO is also suspending its company-wide summer outing for 2020.

Amidst the recent Code Red Sublevel 2 pronouncement on COVID-19 by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in Metro Manila, Sysgen RPO is implementing measures to protect the health, safety, and well-being of their employees while allowing its core business functions to continue its operations.

Effective on March 16, 2020 (Monday) until the end of the month, employees who can work from home can make the necessary arrangements with their supervisors. This applies to Local RPO, Offshore RPO, and Offshore Staffing employees.

However, Human Resources, Accounting, Admin, and IT can choose the three-day workweek option should they have the necessary resources to work from home for the rest of the week.

For employees who cannot work remotely, Sysgen RPO is strongly encouraging the implementation of social distancing and other creative strategies and best practices (e.g., conducting virtual meetings) to reduce the density of employees in close contact with each other. Sanitizers and medicine for common illnesses (i.e., fever, colds, flu, etc.) are also readily available for employee use.

Sysgen RPO CEO Jimmy Roa noted that “There is a need to be vigilant and transparent regarding any illness that is suspect of Covid-19. If you are exhibiting symptoms such as colds, fever, or cough, then you will be forced to go home until you are cleared to return to work.”

“It is business as usual at Sysgen RPO, and our Business Continuity Plan has been put into action. Take comfort that as in all difficult situations, this too will pass,” he added.
